On Thursday October 6th we attended a great show at the
State Theatre in Falls Church Virginia featuring
Patrick Sweany opening for
The Gourds. Two of our favorites one the same bill. We saw Sweany for the first time a few years back at
Merlefest and have been following since. His latest CD,
That Old Southern Drag, is well worth a listen.
The Gourds, well what can we say, perhaps our favorite overall band. We never miss a show. And they have just released a new CD
Old Mad Joy which they featured predominately during this show. We have several videos from both artists on
