Long Black Veil

Recently we have heard female artists (Rosanne Cash and Caroline Herring) record the famous hit, Long Black Veil - a song about a man accused of murder who refuses to provide an alibi because he was having an affair with his best friend's wife at the time, and would rather die than reveal this. Thus its an interesting to hear the song with a female's voice and perspective. At first, I was skeptical whether it is believable - but it works. Add this version from The Honey Dewdrops performed with the Sons of Bill.
